RecoupRCM exists because of a broken piece of math: payers deny more than one in nine claims, most denials are appealable, and most are never appealed — because for a small practice, a 45-minute appeal against a $180 claim never pencils out. We changed the cost side of that equation.

What we believe

Incentives should be embarrassing to compare. Software vendors get paid whether you collect or not. Staffing costs you money on every appeal, won or lost. We invoice 15% of recovered revenue, after the remittance posts, with the EOB attached. If our interests ever diverge from yours, the pricing model is supposed to make that impossible.

AI changed the economics; judgment still decides the outcome. We use AI to do what it's genuinely good at — reading payer policies, assembling criteria-mapped arguments, drafting fast — and humans to do what they're for: triaging winnability, checking every citation, and refusing to send a weak letter. Every appeal is reviewed by a person before it reaches you. That's a permanent policy, not a launch-phase one.

Small practices deserve hospital-grade appeals. Health systems run entire denial departments. Independent PTs, therapists, chiropractors, dentists, and DME suppliers get a write-off line instead. The whole point of this company is to delete that difference.

How we operate

Founder-operated and independent, based in San Diego. We're deliberately small and deliberately picky: we'd rather decline your denials than chase claims we can't win, because our revenue only exists when yours does. A BAA comes before any patient data, documents move only through encrypted channels, and you can end the relationship any time — there are no contracts to escape because there are no contracts.
